Candy Sugar Balls

EQUIPMENT
Large bowl
Wooden spoon
Microwave
Wax paper
INGREDIENTS
2 cups plain powdered milk
1 cup pure cane sugar
3-6 Tbsp liquid (coffee, orange juice or water)
PREPARATION AND COOKING TIME
Prep time: 30 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes. Drying time can vary depending on humidity in the air.
METHOD
Pour sugar and powdered milk into a large bowl and mix with a wooden spoon.
Add liquid to dry mixture slowly to form a non-sticky soft dough. If the dough is too sticky, add more powdered milk.
Shape into small round balls.
Place on wax paper on the counter to dry. Makes 20 balls and you can’t eat just one!
SOME TIPS AND COMMENTS
Choose high quality powdered milk without fillers. Usually, the powdered milk is fortified with vitamin A and D which is virtually unavoidable and is agreeable with the digestion of most people.

STORAGE SUGGESTION
Once dried fully or to desired hardness, place in an airtight container.
